- DESCRIPTION: Trail Bridge Construction. Construct a 60 LF glulam beam timber trail bridge on the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) at the crossing of Straight Branch. The purpose of this project is to provide safe passage for trail hikers. Project is located on the Mount Rogers NRA of the George Washington & Jefferson NFs, in Washington County, east of Damascus VA. RANGE OF THE GOVERNMENT ESTIMATE: The Government estimate for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This does not mean that our estimate for the price of the work falls anywhere within that range; it means that our estimate is an actual number that lies at a specific point between those two values. SITE VISIT INFORMATION: A pre-bid site visit will be held. The location, date and time of the meeting will be announced when the full solicitation is posted on the FBO website. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Contract time will be 60 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (http://www.sam.gov) to receive award of a contract. SET-ASIDE: This project is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this project is 237310; the small business size standard is $36.5 million. BONDING INFORMATION: A bid bond IS NOT required for this project. 100% Payment Protection will be required to be submitted within 10 days of award by the successful awardee if contract value exceeds $35,000.00. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: Solicitation AG-3395-S-16-0027 and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as a Request for Quotation and will be available for downloading on or around August 12, 2016 at the website address: http://www.fbo.gov. All potential contractors and subcontractors should register on the FedBizOpps website as an Interested Vendor.
