Request for Information (RFI) Ref. Number: PR5554106 REQUEST FOR INFORMATION/SOURCES SOUGHT THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. Request for Information (RFI) Ref. Number: PR5554106 - Title: Acquisition Planning - Request for Information - Electrical Repairs and Upgrade/Improvements at American Embassy Kuwait to: 1.Low Voltage Metal Enclosed Switchgear with PLC controllers. Siemens is the manufacturer, model SG3061 ; and 2.Transformer are Cooper - "Cooper power systems, Cat: 000B3P11W58A, MAN EP SERIES : 9937015245/244" No solicitation is available. This RFI is released pursuant to FAR Part 15.201(e), Exchanges with Industry, and is issued for the purpose of conducting market research. The general scope for this acquisition will include servicing, altering the main electrical switchgear's control mechanisms for synchronizing the generators in order to provide emergency backup power to the chancery building. Repairing and altering the automatic transfer switch and the medium voltage switches in the compound. American Embassy Kuwait is seeking to contract with qualified reliable firms with sufficient resources, financing and work experience for performing a variety of services on the above mentioned Switchgear and Transformer. To be considered the company shall be able to meet, satisfy, submits, understand and comply with the requirements in this Notice The purpose of this announcement is to identify qualified reliable firms with the capability to perform the subject services. In order for American Embassy Kuwait to be able to determine such qualifications, interested parties shall furnish the following details: 1.Submit a capability statement. The capability statement should demonstrate the interested firm's understanding, capability, qualifications, and relevant experience in meeting the requirements. 2.Due to the nature of this project, the Embassy prefers reliable firms located and operate in the State of Kuwait. However, if interested firms are located outside the geographic area of Kuwait, they must submit the following: -Proper and necessary license to operate/work in the State of Kuwait; and -A statement that they shall provide, at their own cost, for onsite repairs within 72 hours of notification of an operational problem or failure within the warranty period for all the newly installed equipment, devices meters. 3.Submit past performance related to the subject project in the last three (5) years, all reference information to include but not limited to, contract number, dollar value, performance location to and if applicable subcontractor role 4.Complete name and address to include but not limited to, point of contact, phone number, email address. 5.DUNS number 6.Qualifications and certificates The Government will review the capability statement to determine if the interested firm is capable of satisfying the requirements based on its demonstrated understanding, capability, qualifications, and experience in each area of the subject requirements. As mentioned above, this is only Request for Information and the Government will not reimburse preparation costs nor otherwise provide compensation for any information that is provided in response to this announcement.
