- 28 JUL 2016 The Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to acquire services to provide maintenance and repair support for Caterpillar generators and associated power switch and UPS equipment used by the Joint Staff. This acquisition is offered on a sole source basis to Carter Machinery. All other responsible sources may submit concise documentation for consideration regarding their ability to provide the services, as well as financial and technical information. A determination by the Government to compete the proposed contract action under full and open competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not competitive procurement is a possibility. The brands to be supported include Caterpillar, Eaton, and Mitsubishi. The requirement calls for support at the Suffolk, Hampton Roads, and Joint Base Langley-Eustis facilities. The period of performance is expected to begin 24 SEP 2016 and continue until 23 SEP 2017. Three 1 year option periods are contemplated, beginning 24 SEP following the expiration of the prior period of performance and continuing until 23 SEP of the following calendar year. A firm-fixed price purchase order is anticipated. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code and small business size standard are 811310 and $7.5 million, respectively. The size standard is based on the industry classification of the services being procured. The solicitation number is N00189-16-T-Z290, and is available electronically at www.neco.navy.mil. A hard copy of the solicitation will not be made available. The response date of the RFQ will be established in the RFQ. Quoters must be registered in the System for Award Management database to be considered for purchase order issuance. See www.sam.gov for further information and instructions.
