FED BIZ OPPS: SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Submission Date: 7/28/2016 Subject: Fingerprint System This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334118 (Computer Terminal and Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing). Morphotrust USA is known to meet the Government's needs. The Government is requesting that responsible sources respond if it can provide similar fingerprint systems with the following specifications: "Must be OPM customized and able to transmit fingerprint data via phone line to OPM using accurate protocol. "Must include two (2) laptop computers with 2 fingerprint scanners oLaptop PC running Windows "Must be electrically powered - device for scanning /storing/transmitting fingerprint information "OPM customization software "Enable CHAP protocol used via phone line "2 Modems "Extended additional four (4) year Warranty / Maintenance "Onsite Field Installation and Training by Vendor "All other supporting accessories Interested Small Businesses, including VOSBs and SDVOSBs, are required to submit an e-mail delineating: "Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product "Business size "Socioeconomic status; and "If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334118 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. Responses must be submitted by e-mail to Antanette Shellaugh at Antanette.Shellaugh@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 1:00 pm Central Standard Time on Monday, August 1, 2016.
