- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has a requirement for continued design, test, system integration and other support as required for the AN/AAQ-24(V)24, Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasure (LAIRCM) system for use on the CH-53K. This effort completes the required non-recurring engineering (NRE) resulting in a formal, fully qualified DSU software drop for the CH053K integration, test and flight. The required tasking includes engineering support for the CH-53K System Integration Laboratory (SIL), and engineering support for aircraft integration and test, implementation of a logistics program to include providing logistical support and associated documentation, and further design enhancements of the DECM upgrade suite. Enhancements include: a. Integrated smart dispense capability, b. RWR reprogramming via Ethernet, c. Implementation of an Ethernet interface between the RWR and LSPR, and d. Implementation of fine track sensors (FTS) optimization. This effort is being solicited on a sole source basis under NAVAIR solicitation N00019-15-G-0026-0512 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Electronic Systems Sector, Land and Self Protection Systems Division (NGSC), in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1. NGSC is the sole developer, producer, and depot repair facility for the LAIRCM system used by the United States Government.
