- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) has a requirement for the facilities, fabrication services and material required to manufacture, test and inspect lip seals to be installed onto the capsule of the Composite Capsule Launching System (CCLS) All-Up-Rounds (AURs) variants. NUWC Division Newport intends to award a Firm Fixed Price purchase order for the following items: CLIN 0001 Lip Seal Assembly Qty. 975 P/N JCM-16664-001 in accordance with drawing JCM-16664 NUWCDIVNPT intends to award the Firm Fixed Price purchase order on a sole source basis to Sandem Industries of 10 Park Place, Butler, NJ (Cage Code 4K202). The lip seal is a source-controlled part, Parker-Hannifin is its sole manufacturer and Sandem Industries is the authorized distributor for the Parker-Hannifin lip seal. Required delivery is 14 weeks after the date of award, F.O.B Destination, Newport, RI 02841. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This requirement is an unrestricted sole source procurement as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Program (OSBP). Additional details will be released upon issuance of the Request for Quote (RFQ) N66604-16-Q-2376. The RFQ is anticipated for release on or about 1 AUG 2016. The closing date for receipt of quotes will be established in the RFQ. The delivery schedule will be established in the RFQ.
