- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Energy Hippo, Inc, 1816 Lafayette St., Alameda, CA 94501-1328, (Cage Code: 7FWX0) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Environmental Affairs Department, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, NC has a requirement to upgrade proprietary software supporting data management of the Accipter radar system. Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required items. Therefore, the government intends to procure these supplies on a sole source basis from Energy Hippo, Inc who holds the proprietary licenses for this software. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which, if received within eight (8) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
