- The Department of Veteran Affairs is conducting a SOURCES SOUGHT to identify small businesses with the capabilities to perform the services described herein. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. However, this is a market research tool to help us determine if the expressions of interest are suitable to proceed with a small business set aside requirement. Any information provided by the Government under this notice is preliminary and may be updated or changed prior to release of the solicitation. The Government will NOT award a contract solely on the basis of this notice. The Hampton VA Medical Center (VAMC) requires Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning services in support of the Canteen, Dining, and Hospice facilities on the hospital campus. The intention is to award a firm fixed price base period with four one-year option periods: anticipated award date for these services is October 1, 2016. The North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561790 with a small business size standard of $7.5 million. SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS: It is requested that interested Small Businesses capable of providing these services submit to the contracting officer a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 10 pages in length, single spaced, 12 point font minimum) demonstrating ability to perform the requested services. The capability package must be complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the firms' qualifications to perform the defined work. PAGES IN EXCESS OF THE 10 PAGE LIMIT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from the potential sources as a result of this synopsis. The documentation shall address, at a minimum, the following: COMPANY PROFILE to include: (1) Company name and address; (2) Year the firm was established and number of employees; (3) Names of two principals to contact (including title, telephone and fax numbers and email addresses); (4) Small Business designation/status (e.g. 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, VOSB, etc.); (5) DUNS number; (6) CAGE Code. If companies self-certify as a SDVOSB, or VOSB, then they must be registered at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/. RESPONSES ARE DUE NLT 5:00 PM EST ON Monday, August 1, 2016. LATE RESPONSES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED. THE PACKAGE SHALL BE SENT TO: Wayne A. Neyland via email at wayne.neyland@va.gov.
