Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is seeking on-Site training to healthcare providers using a patient-centered communication framework. Description of Services: Face-to-face training of 1,200 direct care providers (defines as physicians, nurse practioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, health technician/nursing assistants, medical support assistants, corpsmen, key volunteers) on a communication framework aimed at improving patient engagement, building patient trust and meeting top patient priorities. Overall ensuring that providers are delivering a consistent measure of empathy, concern and appreciation. Face-to-face training of 60 leaders on evidence-based leadership strategies; coach leaders and their team how to hardwire evidence based tools and processes to exelearate and sustain performance improvement especially in areas of clinical service and operational excellence. All work will be performed between the hours of 8:00 P.M. and 15:30 P.M. CST., Monday - Friday, excluding legal and/or public holidays. The NAICS code for this procurement is 611430; Small Business Size Standard is $11 million. It is anticipated that award will result in a single award firm-fixed price contract. Award will be made based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). Place of Performance: Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) 3001 Green Bay Road North Chicago, IL 60064 On-Site Training to Healthcare Providers Using a Patient-Centered Communication Framework. Specific Tasks. 1 Task 1 - 1200 providers will be trained. 1.1 Subtask 1 - Curriculum for all trainings will be submitted to Patient Centered Care Strategy Committee within 10 working days from the date the contract is signed to review and approve prior to the beginning of training. 1.2 Subtask 2 - Trainings will including role playing scenarios and practice sessions. 1.3 Subtask 3 - At least two trainers (one physician and one non-physician). 1.4 Subtask 4 - Class size not to exceed 30 employees. 1.5 Subtask 5 - Training is at most 2 hrs long. 1.6 Subtask 6 - All trainings will take place within 180 working days from the date the contract is signed. 2 Task 2 - Training of 60 leaders (managers, supervisors, department heads, section chiefs, assistant and associate directors) will attend additional training focusing on validation and measurement techniques of the new behavior. 2.1 Subtask 1 - Curriculum for all trainings will be submitted to Patient Centered Care Strategy Committee within 10 working days from the date the contract is signed to review and approve prior to the beginning of training. 2.2 Subtask 2 - Trainings will including role playing scenarios and practice sessions. 2.3 Subtask 3 - Follow-up webinars with leaders within 3 months of the completion of the 1200 employee training. 2.4 Subtask 4 - Initial leader trainings will take place within 120 working days from the date the contract is signed. 3 Task 3 - Train the trainer sessions of 30 employees. 3.1 Subtask 1 - Curriculum for all trainings will be submitted to Patient Centered Care Strategy Committee within 10 working days from the date the contract is signed to review and approve prior to the beginning of training. 3.2 Subtask 2 - Trainings will including role playing scenarios and practice sessions. 3.3 Subtask 3 - Training is at least 2 hrs long. 3.4 Subtask 4 - Trainers will providereference materials on how to train future employees. 3.5 Subtask 5 - All trainings will take place within 120 working days from the date the contract is signed.
