- Request for Information (RFI) for sources who can provide on call pilot services fixed wing aircraft. The Department of Interior, Interior Business Center has a Request for Information (RFI) seeking 14 CFR 91 pilots or, 121/135 Air Carrier vendors that can provide a minimum of two on-call pilots to fly a Government owned Cessna 206H on amphibious floats in accordance with specifications below. 1.Be a U.S. Citizen. 2.An FAA commercial pilot certificate or higher with airplane category, single engine land class and instrument-airplane rating. 3.A minimum of a current second-class medical certificate issued in accordance with 14 CFR Part 67. 4.Pilots must have logged minimum flying time as pilot-in-command (PIC) as follows: a.1,500 hourstotal pilot time. b.1,200 hoursin airplanes. c.25 hourssingle engine sea d.25 hoursamphibious airplane e.100 hoursnight flying to include the recent flight experience requirements of 14 CFR 61. f.75 hoursactual or simulated instrument flight time (including 50 hours in flight). g.500 hourscross-country. h.200 hoursover typical terrain (wetlands) i.200 hoursLow Level. (less than 500 feet AGL) j.25 hourstotal time in make, model, and series of aircraft to be used. k.100 hourstotal time in class, preceding 12 months. The estimated number of hours required a year is 500, and the anticipated base of operations is Homestead, Florida. Mission would include but not limited to point to point transportation, reconnaissance (high and low), air tactical (air attack) and non-threatening law enforcement surveillance. This is not an announcement of a Solicitation. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.215-3, Request for Information for Solicitation and Planning Purposes (October 1997), this notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Department of the Interior (DOI) intends to assess the responses to inform its decision-making. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to contract for services. The government will not pay for any information provided as a result of this notice and will not recognize or reimburse any cost associated with RFI submission. Responses to this RFI will not affect a potential offeror's ability to respond to any RFP that might follow.
