- Single source justification UPDATE: FBO Notice: Simulator and Maintenance Support for the P5CTS GPS Simulator - FA8678-16-M-0343 Classification Code: 59 -- Electrical and electronic equipment components NAICS Code: 811 -- Repair and Maintenance/ 811219 -- Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance NOTICE INFORMATION Agency/Office: Air Force Materiel Command Location: AFLCMC/EBYK Title: Simulator and Maintenance Support for the P5CTS GPS Simulator Description(s): The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Range Systems Branch (AFLCMC/EBYK), Eglin AFB, FL intends to procure Simulator and Maintenance Support from Spirent Federal Systems, 1402 W. State Road, Pleasant Grove, UT, 84062 on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i). This pre-solicitation notice is being published for informational purposes only. The proposed action will acquire 12 months of Simulator and Maintenance Support for the P5 Combat Training System (P5CTS) GPS Simulator for the period of 1 November 2016 through 31 October 2017. Option CLIN(s) for additional annual years of Simulator and Maintenance Support will be included. As the original equipment manufacturer and simulator and maintenance support provider of the P5CTS GPS Simulator, Spirent Federal Systems is the only known company that has the detailed knowledge and expertise to meet the Government's requirements. See attached sole source justification. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or quote which shall be considered by the Air Force which fully addresses the content required by the prior sources sought which was dated 06 Jan 2016, with submittal within 15 days from the date of this update to the notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
