- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with: • Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $150,000. • FAR Part 13.501 (a) for purchases exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $150,000. The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to award a sole source purchase order to PARR Instrument Co. of Moline, IL to furnish: Cart Stand Reactor System __ __ See Attached Inquiry of Availability ___X___ See Below CLIN 001: 4571-fg-hc-m(hc)-230-vs.50-5000-SC-4848- SVM QUANTITY: 1 Each Series 4571 Cart Stand Reactor System with the following specifications: - Moveable head vessel mounted in a cart stand with wheels -Vessel MAWP Rating: 5000 PSI at up to 500C -Head, cylinder, magnetic drive, and internal wetted parts constructed of C276 -Flexible Grafoil gasket and split ring closure -Head to include: 1-Magnetic Drive, C276, 16 in-lbs. torque, with stir shaft and turbine impellers 2-Safety rupture disc of C276, rated to 5000 PSI at temperature 3-Pressure gage, 0-5000 psi with C276 isolator 4-Double valve assembly with C276, liquid sampling and gas inlet valves over C276 dip tube 5-Gas release valve, C276 6-Thermowell, C276 with Type J thermocouple 7-Sepentine Cooling coil, C276 -Cyclinder, 1 Liter, C276 -Heater Assembly, 230 Volts -Variable Speed Motor, 1/2hp, 0-600 rpm -230 Volt 50/60Hz -4848 Reactor controller with the following specifications: 1-PID temperature control with ramp and soak programming 2-Manual speed adjustment knob, 0-600rpm 3-Solenoid valve module to control internal cooling CLIN 002 : Condenser Assembly, T316 with T316 tubing to manual back pressure regulator T316. (Assembly off of gas release valve on reactor). Maintained pressure of 3600 psi. The Federal Supply Code (FSC) / Product Service Code (PSC) procurement is 6640. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement within fifteen (15) calendar days of the publication of this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
