- SPECIAL NOTICE ACTION CODE: PRESOLICITATION CLASSIFICATION CODE: 66 Instrument and Laboratory Equipment SUBJECT: Preventive Maintenance for Gnenius Generators RESPONSE DATE: JULY 28, 2016 CONTACT POINT: PRISCILLA ABALOS 301-594-5918 DESCRIPTION: Office of Purchasing and Contract (OPC) intends to award a sole source Purchase Order to Government Scientific Source. The primary purpose of this announcement is to identify all potential sources regardless of organization, type and size classification and determine their capabilities to fulfill a potential Government requirement. Order will result in a firm fixed price Order for AB-ACIEX for Preventive maintenance for 3 031 Nitrogen Generators to conduct patient care test operation at the Clinical Center The continuous services is very important to provide high quality nitrogen for Triple Quad Mass Spectrometers to operate, which were applies to conduct medical test for patients who is undergoing clinical trials approved by research protocol. The instrument are being services every year for 3 years now under the agreement contract. AB ACIEX has need to expand its current system capabilities to allow compatibility of system already in used at the Clinical center community patients care for which for which the Government intent to solicit and negotiate with only one sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of statements, proposal or quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation or additional information will be made available with regards to this sole source notice. Sole source determination is based on the following AB-ACIEX is capable of providing such services required at the level of quality because the services ordered are unique or highly specialized. Additionally, the system which is currently under a service agreement, the components is a direct replacement specifically designed and tested by the manufacturer. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System Code 811219 The requirement is being processed in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures as stated in FAR 13.106-(b)(1). The Government shall consider all responses received prior to the close date of this announcement. All responses must be received no later than July 27, 2016 @ 12:00 Eastern Standard Time.
