- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Headquarters (HQ), Patuxent River intends to award a Sole Source Contract Modification to L-3 Communications Corporation for the Utility Lift C-12 Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) contract. This acquisition is a bridge effort for services performed under contract N00019-11-D-0010 for continued contract support until the follow-on contract can be competitively awarded. A request for proposals was issued for the follow-on competition on 1 Sept 2015. The purpose of the instant sole source bridge acquisition is to provide up to 12 months of continued C-12 CLS support for the Navy Utility Lift Aircraft Program. The period of performance for this effort will be 1 Oct 2016 through 28 Feb 2017, with options to extend through 30 Sept 2017 if required. The primary places of performance are Corpus Christi, Texas; Patuxent River, Maryland; Manama, Bahrain; Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Atsugi, Japan 6; Beaufort, South Carolina; San Angelo, Texas; New Orleans, Louisiana; Yuma, Arizona; Iwakuni, Japan; New River, North Carolina; Kadena, Japan; Manassas, Virginia; Miramar, California; Futenma, Japan; and Misawa, Japan. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, responsible interested parties may submit a capability statement in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider all information received by 2 Aug 2016, 1700 EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
