AMENDMENT 0002 IS HEREBY ISSUED TO REFLECT THE FOLLOWING: 1. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS OF PRE-BID TOUR AT VALLEY OF FIRES RECREATIONAL AREA Q. Should Past Performance Reference (Form 1420) be submitted directly to you or should this be included with the proposal? A. Form 1420 should be submitted with the proposal. Q. Will proposals be submitted to: BLM-NM-Ro Puerco Field, 100 Sun Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109? A. Proposals can be submitted to BLM-NMSO, Attention: Anna Salas-Waldo, 100 Sun Avenue NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109 or by email at asalas@blm.gov. Q. Are we to submit 1 original and 1 copy (2 total) of both the Volume 1 and 2; or 1 original of Volume 1 and 2? A. One (1) original of Volume 1 and 2 shall be submitted. Q. Is there going to be Density Testing? A. Yes, as per the contract specifications the contractor will be required to take density's during the compaction process. Q. Will the Bureau of Land Management provide water? A. No, as per the specifications the contractor will need to provide all water necessary for the completion of the project, the contractor may need to coordinate with the City of Carrizozo. Q. Will the park be closed? A. Yes, Valley of Fires Recreational Area will be closed 45 days during construction. Q. Will the Bureau of Land Management locate utilities? A. No, the contractor shall be responsible for locating all utilities on the project. Q. Does the Bureau of Land Management have a permit from the New Mexico Department of Transportation? A. Yes the Bureau of Land Management currently has a Temporary R/W permit; however, the contractor will need to list the NMDOT as additionally insured. Please see the contract specifications. Q. How old is the existing pipeline? A. The existing pipeline is 20 years old. Q. Will all frost freeze hydrants be replaced? A. Yes, all existing frost freeze hydrants will be replaced with sanitary yard hydrant. In regards to the required license GF-98. The GF-9 license should be acceptable as it is the portion of the GF-98 that covers utility lines and water systems. The other GF classifications 1-8, cover many fixed works items not included in this project, such as railroads, airports etc. The Bureau of Land Management will keep the requirement of the New Mexico GF-98 Construction Industries Licensing requirement; for the following reasons: GF-98 Requires licensure in classifications GF-1 through GF-9, which include experience working with Utility Lines & Systems (including water systems) and experience working in Recreational Areas (including public campgrounds). GF-98 Requires four (4) years of experience.
