- See attachment This requirement consists of work on a Kolene © Molten Salt Bath. The bath contains a highly caustic, oxidizing and alkaline mixture which is liquid at operating temperature. When performing the requirements in this Performance Work Statement (PWS), the salt bath will be operational and at an elevated temperature of nine hundred (900) degrees Fahrenheit (F). The bath temperature is maintained by nine (9) immersed electric resistance heaters which are situated in the salt bath and protected by nine (9) specialized tubes. The salt bath is mixed by two (2) specialized, impeller type agitators.
