- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for modifications to AAM-520 ™s I-SIM simulator software to support NextGen workstation research, as well as the purchase of maintenance and licenses for the I-SIM simulator software, InterMAPhics Development License Maintenance and Support and InterMAPhics Runtime License Maintenance and Support. The requirement is for a base year and includes option provisions to renew for four (4) additional 1-year periods, to be exercised at the sole discretion of the FAA. The FAA intends to negotiate solely with Kongsberg Geospatial, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, in accordance with AMS Policy 3.2.2.4. A market analysis was conducted by the Aerospace Human Factors Research Division of CAMI. The results of this analysis supported the determination to solicit and negotiate with only one firm.
