- Title of Work: Germantown Lateral D Sewer Crossing Scour Repair, Germantown, Tennessee Project Description: The work for this contract consists of furnishing all plant, labor and materials for repairing a scour and protecting sewer utilities along Germantown Lateral D, a tributary of the Wolf River. Work consists of installing (3) concrete pads, (3) sheet pile walls, (15) baffle blocks, approximately 50LF of grouted and ungrouted R400 riprap, approximately 355LF of R200 Riprap, and overall clearing and re-grading of 465LF of the lateral bank line. The contractor must be able to perform earthwork, rock placement, grouting, concrete and reinforcing placement, sheet pile installation, disposal of debris/material; establishment of turf; parking lot, curb & gutter, and fencing repair/replacement; and environmental protection with limited access. The Contractor will also be required to route stream flows from Lateral D through the project site during the various construction phases and frequent headwater events, provide for the collection and disposal of surface and subsurface water encountered during construction, and completely drain construction site during periods of construction to keep soil materials sufficiently dry for compaction and progression of construction. North American Industry Classification System: 237990 Small Business Size Standard: $36.5M Acquisition Strategy: Firm Fixed Price, Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) competitive set-aside, Invitation for Bid (IFB). This solicitation is limited to woman-owned small businesses. Work Location: The work shall be located in Shelby County, Germantown, Tennessee. The exact location will be indicated on the contract drawings. The Contracting Officer's Representative will be available to show the exact location of the work at the two organized site visits. First site visit will be on or about 21 July 2016 and second site visit will be on or about 4 August 2016. Contractors will meet at 10a.m. at the jobsite in Germantown, Tennessee. Magnitude of Work: Between $1M to $5 Million Contract Duration: 190 calendar days Invitation for Bid (IFB): 15 July 2016 Bid Opening: 18 Aug 2016 The resulting contract award will be a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract. The Solicitation Number will be W912EQ-16-B-0005.
