- DRAFT Scope of Work for Gabion Baskets THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH ONLY This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. NO AWARD will be made from this Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a request for proposal or quote or an invitation for bid. Particularly, the purpose of this NOTICE is to gain knowledge of potential System for Award Management (SAM) Database registered businesses interested and capable of providing Textile Lined Gabion Baskets that meet or exceed the attached specifications and have the capability to deliver them in within 48 hours of order to any location in the Continental United States. In addition to the supplies that will be required under this contract, Technical Advisory (TA) services will be required. Services provided shall include training on proper setup, utilization during an event and teardown/repackaging after the event. TA services will be provided to local, state and federal entities identified by the USACE Point of Contact (POC). The USACE POC shall oversee and direct the TA services. TA services may be requested at any time, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD: 500 employees POINT OF CONTACT: Responses are to be sent via email to Contracting Officer, Danielle Gainey, at danielle.m.gainey@usace.army.mil no later than 12:00 pm Central Standard Time, 15 August, 2016. SUBMISSION DETAILS: All interested, responsive and responsible System for Award Management (SAM) Database registered small businesses are encouraged to participate in this market research by emailing the required information below to the point of contact listed above. Interested businesses must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database at www.sam.gov. Email submissions are required. Interested businesses shall include the following information to be considered for market research purposes. 1.Company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address and cage code 2.Manufacturing facility location 3.Product literature (i.e. specifications) 4.Capabilities statement indicating the contractor can meet the specification requirements for lined gabion baskets 5.Delivery lead time for 2 miles of textile lined gabion baskets 6.Company's interest in bidding/proposing on the solicitation when issued 7.Company's business category and size 8.Estimated number of qualified Technical Advisors (at least 3 years' experience with the product) personnel available to deploy to the field 9.Most recent report of Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) test results for lined gabion basket can be provided but is not required 10.Indicate whether the Company has the capability to repair/refurbish used product to like new condition If a solicititation is issued from this sources sought, Contractors will be required to submit test results from the Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC), Vicksburg, MS.
