- USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to ProBioSound, LLC, 622 Dundee Ln, Holmes Beach, FL, 34217 for services to develop an underwater acoustic program that would specialize in ecological monitoring, deterrence system development, and military monitoring. This requires extensive experience in developing, designing, conducting technology transfers to federal agencies in all of the following applications: o Active acoustic fish assessment systems including repurposing of off-the-shelf equipment o Hybrid fish deterrence and behavioral modification systems that may include one or more elements such as physical barriers, active acoustic sources, bubble curtains, and light o Hybrid fish behavioral assessment systems to determine the effectiveness of structural and operational alternatives for water control and electricity production structures related to locks and dams, marine kinetic and hydropower, diversions, and culverts o Underwater sound propagation assessment and modeling o Assessment of the biological impacts of oil and gas exploration, production, and decommissioning and removal of production facilities on fish, sea turtles, and marine mammals The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code that this work falls under is 541330, with a size standard of $15,000,000.00. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. A solicitation will not be issued. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The information submitted must be provided in sufficient detail to demonstrate the vendor's ability to fulfill this requirement. The contractor must also provide a description of their past experience in fulfilling requirements which are the same or similar to this requirement and references for each. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Responses to this requirement may be submitted to Allison Hudson at Allison.B.Hudson@usace.army.mil. The solicitation number shall be included in the subject line of the e-mail submission. Responses must be received no later than 5:00 PM CST, Friday, 22 July 2016.
