- Presolicitation Notice THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE TO VA248-16-R-0515: Request For Proposals (RFP) Firm-Fixed-Price Construction Solicitation. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8, Tampa, FL, intends to release RFP VA248-16-R-0515, for a Fire Structural Repair construction project. Work to be performed at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, Florida 33612. This procurement is 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms who are capable of performing the requirements under the categories described in the solicitation when posted. All offerors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) data base and complete online Reps and Certs at https://www.sam.gov/. All SDVOSB offerors must be verified by the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) in VetBiz at http://www.vetbiz.gov to be eligible for award. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 673-11-113 "Repair Structural Fireproofing Buildings 1, 30 and 32" The Scope of Work (SOW) includes repair of seven mechanical shafts in the main hospital, repair the steel and concrete encased columns in the basement, re-fireproof columns in the basement, abate (approximately 1% of total) basement of existing sprayed-on fireproofing, patch and repair penetrations in basement deck with proper fireproofing, seal and fireproof the penetrations identified within the Statement of Conditions Inspections for buildings 1, 30 and 32, clean and paint floor and equipment pads in basement, and certain other items of work required by the VA design drawings and specification to be provided as part of the solicitation package. NCO 8 anticipates the solicitation will be issued around February 25, 2016 and will be posted only on the Federal Business Opportunities website (https://www.fbo.gov). At this time, no solicitation exists. DO NOT REQUEST A SOLICITATION package. The NAICS Code is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction). The associated size standard for this procurement is $36.5 million dollars average gross annual receipts for the preceding three years. In accordance with Veterans Affairs (VA) Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 836.204(f), the construction magnitude is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. NO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE OTHER THAN WHAT IS NOTED HEREIN. Firms are instructed to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website for the actual posting of the solicitation package. Award is subject to availability of funding.
