- Description
- J&A The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)/Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) intends to issue a sole source contract to ViaSat, Inc., 6155 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA 92009. This acquisition is for Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) Executive Communications Team (ECT) Airborne Communications Support. The proposed contract action is to provide three aircraft with Ku-band spread spectrum communications and will provide video teleconferencing, full motion video feed and worldwide internet to senior leaders in the air. The firm-fixed price contract will be awarded for a 5-month base period and four 1-year option periods. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
