- FA4600-16-Q-0020 The 14th Weather Squadron (14WS) located in Asheville, NC, collects stores, and characterized earth-space environmental data to provide tailored and simulated weather information and services to maximize the combat effectiveness of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) personnel and weapon systems. The 14WS utilizes the EMC Storage Area Network (SAN) equipment to store 95% of the 14WS earth-space environmental data archive. Due to the critical nature of the 14WS production environment, it is imperative that all equipment be on vendor maintenance agreements. The Contractor shall provide hardware/firmware/software parts, maintenance and updates for the equipment in the Performance Work Statement.
