- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey South Atlantic Water Science Center has a fenced area approximately 110x110 that is used to store work trucks, boats, tools and other miscellaneous material. Presently, there are two permanent building on this property 1) 26x60 open sided, post framed, metal boat shed and 2) 12x60 post framed partial enclosed metal building. Along with storage, a portion of this area is also used to construct or repair equipment for gage structure installations and equipment needed for other projects. In addition, routine boat and vehicle maintenance and repair are completed here. Presently, all construction and maintenance is completed outside where personnel are exposed to weather extremes and tools are under cover but not secured. Thus, an enclosed building is needed to house tools, equipment and allow personnel to work where they are not exposed to weather extremes. Located at Columbia, South Carolina. The project shall be completed within 30 days after notice to proceed is issued. There are no option periods. Request for Quote (RFQ) G16PS00627 will be issued on or about 07/15/2016 with written quotes due on or about 08/05/2016. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 236210. The size standard is $36.5 million. The magnitude of construction is Less than $25,000. The anticipated award date of the contract is 08/17/2016.
