Equipment List PWS NOTICE: This is a Sources Sought Notice to determi ne any potential sources for i nformat i on and p l anning purposes only. AMI C Det 2 OL/PKA (Patrick AFB, F l or i da) i s seek i ng i nformation from potential sources for Canberra Radiation Equ i pment Maintenance. 1. 1 The purpose of th i s sources sought i s to perform market research to determine if responsible sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Sm a ll Bu s i ness Set-Asid e. The proposed North American Industry C l assificat i on systems (NAICS) Code i s 811219 ( Other E l ectronic and Precis i on Eq u i pment and Ma i ntenance ), w h i ch has a corresponding size standard of $20.5M. The Government wi ll use information received i n response to t h i s not i ce to determ i ne the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is i nterested i n all small bus i nesses to i nc l ude 8(a ), Serv i ce Disab l ed Veteran­ Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small busi ness concerns. The Government requests that all interested par t i es respond to t h i s notice if capa b l e and to identify your small business status for the identified NAICS cod e. Provide any antic i pated team i ng arrangements or i nformation regard i ng your plans to use a jo i nt ventur e. Add i tionally, provide a description of s i mi l ar ser v i ces offered to the Government or to commerci a l customers w i th i n the past three years. Any response i nvolvi ng teaming agreements shoul d delineate between work that could be accompl i shed by the pr i me and the work that could be accomp li shed by the teaming partner(s). The i nforma t i on requested by t h i s sources sought w i ll be used w i th i n the A i r Force ( A F ) to facilitate decision -making and w i ll not be d i sclosed outs i de the agenc y. Firms choos i ng to respond to this Sources Sought Synopsis are cautioned that this is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). In accordance wi th FAR 15. 201(e), responses to this not i ce are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U. S. Government to form a b i nd i ng contract or agreeme n t. The AF w i ll not be obligated to pursue any particul ar acquisi tion or al ternative as a result of thi s Sources Sought. Responses to this notice w i ll not be returned or replied t o. All Government and contractor personnel rev i ew i ng responses w i ll have s i gned no n - d i sc l osure agreements and understand thei r responsi bi lity to proper l y use and protect propri etary information from unauthorized disclosure as described in 41 USC 423. The Air Force Applications Center (AFTAC) and AMIC Det 2 OL/PKA (Patrick A F B, FL) are conducting Market Research for non-personal services. Th i s Sources Sought is one of the e l ements of our Market Researc h, and it w ill be used to determ i ne the acq u i s i t i on approac h. AFTA C ' s C i ambrone Laboratory/TLM branch uses Canberra brand radia t i on detec t i on i nstruments to detect a lp h a, bet a, and gamma ra d i a t i on. These i nstruments ut i lize the Canberra brand hardware and software to provide the most accurate and precise results. The contractor shall provide qualified and trained personnel to provide the followi ng ma i ntenance for Canberra brand alph a, bet a, and gamma ra d i ation detection i nstrumentat io n. -Total of SIX (6) On-Site Weeks per year - Unschedul ed Site Critical Emergency Visits Non-Consumable Replaceme nt/ Repa i r Parts I ncluded Pri ority Toll-Free Technical Support and Remote Assistance during Standard Business Hours All required repairs and replacement parts for equipment l isted on the Equipment List Software update s, medi a, licenses, and documentation for systems listed on the Equipment List The Government is contemplating Fi rm Fixed Price contract. Additionally, the anticipated performance would be one (1) base year and four (4) option years. Currently there is no timeframe for the potential RFP releases. Air Force Federal Acquisition Reg u l a t i on Supplement ( A FFAR S ) Clause 535 2. 201-910 1 Ombudsman {Apr 2014) An ombudsman has been appo i nted to hear and faci l i tate the reso l ution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concer n. The e x i stence of the ombudsman does n o t affect the autho r i ty of the program manage r, contrac t i ng off i ce r, or source selec t ion official. Further, the ombudsman does not parti c i pate i n the evaluation of propos a l s the source select i on proces s, o r the adjudication of protests or form a l contract dispute s.
