- This request is the procurement of the Cisco Web Security Appliance and 1 year product support. (i)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii)This solicitation document, HQ0013-16-T-ciscoweb, is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-58. It is the responsibility of the offeror to review the web page for notice of amendments, updates or changes to the solicitation. (iv)This solicitation is issued under FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This requirement is for the procurement of the Cisco Web Security Appliance and 1 year product support. DSADC currently uses a web filtering product that no longer meets the needs of effectively and efficiently providing the capability of monitoring and blocking unwanted or malicious website traffic. The Cisco WSA (Web Security Appliance) is able to decrypt https: traffic (port 443) and inspect the content of the web traffic to ensure its legitimacy and to block the traffic in case it contain malicious or unwanted content whereas the current solution is not capable of providing such capability. Also, this solution provides a redundant system where if the primary unit were to fail, the backup unit would takeover, providing seamless management & monitoring of web traffic. All Cisco manufactured hardware must be directly obtained from Cisco or verified Cisco Authorized Reseller(s) ONLY. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 541519 -- Other Computer Related Services, the small business size standard is $27,500,000.00. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. (v) This requirement is for the purchase of hardware and associated support / maintenance agreement(s). The equipment is required to be NEW and UNUSED. Additionally, the Cisco appliance be procured either directly from Cisco or authorized Cisco reseller(s) only. (vi) The Contractor shall submit quote that meets the requirements of the PWS attached.
