- Pressure Treated Lumber, Red Cedar Lumber, and Hardware for Bridge Decking Material for the Road and Trails Branch at Yosemite National Park, Mariposa County, California. This amendment is to provide answers to the following questions: Q1) With respect to surfacing, are you seeking 'rough' timbers or 'surfaced' also known as S4S? A1) Pressure treated is standard sawn. Q2) With respect to dimensions, are you seeking 'full sawn' -- timbers would measure 'actual' measurements specified or 'standard' sawn - which allows about less than measurement specified depending on size. A2) Cedar is actual sawn. Not sanded and full dimension. Q3) Paragraph B says pressure treated Lumber grad one or better, Paragraph C says Red Cedar shall not be pressure treated, can clarify this? A3) Paragraph C is a different required and wood type. Red Cedar is rough sawn full dimension, clear (no knots) lumber NOT treated. All other lumber is pressure treated grade number one or better and typically dug fir.
