- Equatorial RADAR Mounting Plate Acquisition Title: Notice of Intent for award of sole source purchase order for 45 resistor boxes for a Super Dual Auroral Radar Network (SuperDARN) from Aviation Technology, Inc. for the AFRL. Description: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL The 377 MSG/ Contracting Division Kirtland AFB, NM intend to award a sole source contract to Scientific Instrumentation Ltd. for the purchase of the resistor boxes. The SuperDARN system design is a result from decades of academic collaboration, and the design and fabrication of the resistor boxes is owned by one company, Scientific Instrumentation Ltd. While Resistor boxes with similar specifications could be provided by other vendors, none would be of the exact design required for inclusion in the larger SuperDARN radar system. Anticipated date of award is 31 July 2016. The FSC Code is 6695, the NAICS Code is 334516 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement within fifteen (15) days of this announcement.
