- AG8544R160001 - Bighorn/Shoshone Timber Sale Field Preparation The purpose of this contract is for professional services for timber contract field preparation work. Services include layout of units, traversing units with Global Positioning Systems (GPS), marking or re-marking of unit boundaries, marking or re-marking timber according to prescriptions identified on individual task orders, and cruising timber according to Forest Service Handbook (FSH) direction utilizing a variety of methods including, but not limited to, plot and sample tree based methods. The contract includes security and inventory of Government furnished tracer paint. All data sharing between the Government and contractor(s) will be in electronic format unless otherwise determined. Submission of Electronic Data should be in the form of ArcGIS 10-3-2 compatible shapefiles and Windows 7 compatible files. Resource and non-resource-grade GPS systems would be used under the contract. Data entry in Government specific programs will utilize Two-Trails for GPS traverses as well as the National Cruise System for cruising. For cruising, Contractor(s) shall be required to become a certified Rocky Mountain Region qualified cruiser. The anticipated contract(s) will be a base with 4 option years. The contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government furnished) and incidentals to perform all work necessary.
