- Request for Information - Sources Sought: Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectrometer Agency/Office: Air Combat Command Location: Tyndall AFB Contracting Squadron Title: Tyndall CCR Description(s): Our requirement is seeking a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrometer to conduct Attenuated Total Reflectance (ATR) measurements on a variety of materials. This instrument will be used to characterize constituent materials in pavement samples used in airfield damage repair as well as characterization of repellent and/or catalytic treatments applied to aircraft paints and textiles. The spectrometer must meet the minimum following requirements: • Ability to dock and communicate with Thermo Smart MIRacle® accessories • At least 0.09 cm-1 spectral resolution • One-touch sampling operation • DLaTGS detector • Liquid nitrogen-cooled MCT-A detector • Ge-on-KBr on-axis beam splitter (7800-350 cm-1) • Air purge system • Data system (Pentium i5 or equivalent CPU, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD), keyboard, mouse, and monitor • FTIR data acquisition and analysis software • Infrared spectral libraries including but not limited to hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones, esters, carboxylic acids, azo compounds, phosphorous containing compounds, dyes, and silanes Disclaimer: This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation, i.e. we are not seeking proposals nor will accept unsolicited proposals. Response to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expense associated with responding to this RFI. Our desire is to award this procurement to a small business however, lack of qualified businesses may dictate otherwise. Please indicate if you have the capability to provide this item, if you have a GSA schedule and if you are a small business. Note: not having a GSA contract or being a small business is not a disqualifier if you have the capability we want to hear from you. Vendors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) prior to an award being made.
