Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD intends to award sole source modifications to MAC Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contracts N00019-12-D-0009, N00019-12-D-0010, and N00019-12-D-0011 with AAI, Corp. dba Textron Systems of Hunt Valley, MD, PAE, ISR, LLC of Chantilly, Virginia, and Insitu, Inc. of Bingen, WA, respectively; in order to increase the MAC contract ceiling and extend the effective period. Due to an unanticipated surge in requirements and based on recent world events and upcoming requirements the modification is required to allow for continued ISR Services support. This is a Contractor-provided service using non-developmental UAS ISR equipment, trained personnel, certifications, installation, operation, maintenance, sustainment, spares/product support, on-the-job training for Government personnel, and other related support services necessary to effectively and efficiently support various sea- and land-based worldwide locations. This effort will be in direct support of combat missions and requires around-the-clock imagery and other sensor capability in support of ISR missions. The Contractors will be capable of providing normal and surge, day and night, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ISR services. The total planned increase in ceiling value of this acquisition is $316M from $874M to $1.2B, over a five-year ordering period, and represents a contract ceiling of the sum total for all contracts/task orders. The planned increase to the effective period is from five years to ten years for the sole purpose of allowing the execution of options to task orders awarded prior to the end of the original five year ordering period.
