Flex Hose - Hose Assembly Part #: 79K80463 - 25 - 3600, Quantity: 3 NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from Southeast Service Company, 490 Allison Avenue, Longwood, FL, 32750. Southeast Service Company is the local distributor for Aero-Hose which is located at 1845 Town Center Blvd # 140, Orange Park, FL, 32003. Aero-Hose flex hoses are required for the design installation of all the High Pressure Gases (HPG) (GN2/GHe/GO2/BAIR) flex hoses at the Multi Payload Processing Facility (MPPF), since the design drawings calls out the specific part numbers per KSC Specification 79K80463. Aero-Hose has been qualified for fabrication of flex hoses at KSC and meets all of NASA KSC's specific design requirements. The High Pressure Gas sub-system was designed using specific flex hoses size and lengths. To use different manufacturer parts would incur considerable cost and time to the program to redesign the system configuration and qualify a new source. This additional lost time would severely impact successful commencing of the HPG/GN2 V&V Test at the MPPF which is schedule to start in July, 2016. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 1:00 p.m. eastern time on Friday, July 15, 2016. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at <A HREF="http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/pub_library/Omb.html
