- Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a set aside for certified small business contractors for the new chain link fence, tow wall at the Knightville Dam in Huntington, MA. The construction will extend over a one-month period occurring in the fall of 2016. Any responsible source meeting this standard may submit a bid to be considered by the New England District. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $50,000 and $100,000. The location of work to be performed under this contract shall be at the Knightville Dam, located in Huntington, Massachusetts. The scope of the project is as follows: • Demo existing fence posts and chain-link fence sections over the Toe Wall. • Locate new post locations in the Toe Wall Cap and sufficiently engage solid, structurally sound concrete. • Install new fence post bases to ensure no water infiltrates into the new post base locations. • Install new chain-link fence sections over the Toe Wall. • Remove and replace fencing just outside the alignment of the Toe Wall with new chain-link fence such that it ties into the new Toe Wall chain-link fence. The applicable NAICS code is 238990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $15,000,000. The project is planned to be issued in June 2016, and will be set aside for Small Businesses. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the New England District. Please note this solicitation is set aside for certified small businesses. This is not a request for proposals at this time, the solicitation requirements and contract documents to include instructions for submission and the response date will be available on or about June 1, 2016. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov). All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the New England District.
