- DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment necessary for the demolition of the existing bridge and designing and constructing the new corrugated aluminum plate arch type box culvert bridge. Principal features of the work include mobilization and demobilization, clearing and grubbing, demolition and disposal of debris, designing, fabrication, assembly and installation of the corrugated aluminum structural plate arch type box culvert bridge, wing walls and headwalls, excavation, control of water, steel H-piles, concrete work, fill, backfill, stone protection, storm water pollution prevention and environmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Bidders may register on the Interested Vendor's List (IVL) at http://www.fbo.gov/ and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Compact disc and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders are encouraged to check often for changes (AMENDMENTS) to posted solicitations. ISSUE DATE ON OR ABOUT: 26 Jul 2016. BID OPENING DATE AND TIME: 25 Aug 2016. THIS PROCUREMENT IS A COMPETITIVE 8(m) SET-ASIDE. COMPETITION IS LIMITED TO WOMEN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (WOSB) ELIGIBLE UNDER THE WOSB PROGRAM SET-ASIDE. IT IS ISSUED UNDER NAICS 237310, FSC CODE Y1LB, FOR A FIRM FIXED-PRICE CONTRACT.
