- Sources Sought This is a Sources Sought announcement for acquisition planning purposes. No formal solicitation for these items exists at this time. All eligible and qualified vendors may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements will be reviewed to determine quantity and availability of vendors who can provide the specified items listed below. The capability statements received will also be used to determine the Bureau of Reclamation's overall procurement strategy. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is: 333921 Elevator and Moving Stairway Manufacturing. The Small Business size standard for NAICS Code 333921 is 1,000 employees. The proposed requirement is for the spare parts supply and emergency servicing/repair of Kone and Otis Elevator for Hoover Dam, Boulder City, NV 89005. Kone Elevator Spare Parts and Repair Hoover Dam Visitor Center has 4 Electric Traction Type Elevators, 3 Hydraulic Elevators, as well as 2 Escalators. The 4 Electric Traction Type Elevators in the Visitor Center have Kone Mirprom 21 Controllers as well as the hydraulic elevators and escalators. The Elevator Shop in the Hoover Dam Maintenance Group has several Journeyman Electricians who perform routine general maintenance, repairs, & troubleshooting on this equipment. Occasionally the need arises for the purchase of parts to repair elevators that are critical to power plant employees, general public, as well as contract personnel. The help of certified elevator technicians is required for larger or emergent jobs due to the nature of their experience, tools, & materials required. Large-scale emergency repair work on the Visitor Center Kone Elevators must be completed by qualified Kone Elevator Mechanics. This is critical to ensure the highest quality of maintenance and lowers the risk of future malfunctions. Otis Elevator Spare Parts and Repair Hoover Dam Power Plant has 6 Electric Traction Type Elevators The 6 Electric Traction Type Elevators in the Power Plant are Otis Elevonic type 401 Elevators. Occasionally the need arises for the purchase of parts/emergency services to repair elevators that are critical to power plant employees, general public, as well as contract personnel. Capability statements are to be submitted no later than 12:00PM PST Friday, July 15, 2016. The capability statement shall address the work listed above, demonstrate the company's capability to perform the work, and describe previous procurements performed of similar size and complexity. Additionally, all responses to this sources sought shall include company name and address, business size and type (8(a), HubZone, Small Business, etc), and point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number. Capability statements shall not exceed five pages in length. All responses to this sources sought notice shall be provided to William Johnson, Contract Specialist, via e-mail to wjohnson@usbr.gov.
