Description
The Airlift Tanker Association (ATA) and Air Mobility Command (AMC) are hosting AMC Industry Update 2016 at Scott AFB IL, 27 July 2016. The Objective of this event is to discuss and share Rapid Global Mobility's Vision for the future in a symposium-like atmosphere. IU 2016 will center on the following focus areas: - Aircraft Survivability and Operational Effectiveness - Integrated Command, Control, Communications, Cyber and Intelligence (C4I) - Agile and Efficient Mobility Support - Secure Communications - Air Operations Center Capabilities - Precision Airdrop - Fuel Efficiency - Aircraft Decontamination - Future electronic flight bags - Simulators - Air Refueling Scheduling - OSA/EA Dispatch Capabilities - AMC CIO Challenges/Truths - Strategic Emphasis on Communications - Future ISR Concepts - Future Airlift / Air Refueling Systems * Focus Areas are subject to change. Updates will be posted, as required. NOTE: REGISTRATION HAS BEEN EXTENDED AND WILL CLOSE 15 JULY 2016. AMC's Industry Update provides a legal, yet dynamic environment for information flow from the command to senior leaders in commercial, research, and academic sectors. Industry and research conduits are gained by gathering a first-hand understanding of AMC's priorities and mission direction in the near, mid, and far terms. AMC gains from products better suited to the command's requirements, at lower costs, and within desired timeframes. By sharing AMC's vision with industry and research center leaders and representatives, our IU 2016 team hopes to give attendees the opportunity to match their strategies with the command's vision. Our ultimate goals are effective products, at affordable costs, ready to perform the mission when we need them in support of our Rapid Global Mobility Vision. Briefing sessions are the primary medium for this forum, with one senior leader panel. Meeting location: Scott AFB Club, Bldg 1560, Scott AFB, IL. Industry, academia, research lab, and non-Scott AFB government personnel who wish to participate must submit a registration form no later than close of business, CST, 15 July, 2016. Due to Scott Club space limitations, attendance is limited to the first 250 registrants (a maximum of 2-3 attendees per company). If we have additional seating, those seats will be freed up 8 July 2016 to industry. To register, fill out the attached registration form and email it to Industry Update 2016, email address: A5.A5QL.AMCIndustryUpdate@us.af.mil Registration will start at 7 a.m., 27 July, at the Scott AFB Club.
