- The US Forest Service has a requirement to install a prefabricated 120 foot span by six (6) foot wide pedestrian trail bridge across the Chestnut Branch to access Catawba Falls on the Grandfather Ranger District. Work includes concrete abutments, trail reconstruction, and erosion control. The project is in McDowell County, NC. Depending on the timing of awarding this contract, work may begin immediately until 15 Oct 2016 or wait until 15 April 2017; work stoppage due to the NC trout moratorium. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required. The magnitude of this project is betwee $100,000 and $250,000. The site visit and solicitation details will be posted on or about 22 July 2016. This is a certified Small Business Association HUBZone set aside only.
