- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to L-3 Communications Corporation. This acquisition is for the Narda NBM-550 meter (which consists of NBM-TS Transfer Software, USB Interface Cable, Shoulder Strap, Table Top Tripod, AC Power Supply/Charger w/ "AA" x 4 NiMH Rechargeable Batteries, Manual, Calibration Certs, Transport Case which holds meter, accessories & up to 5 probes), EHP-50F E&H field analyzer, EF0391 & EF1891 E-field probes, HF3061 & HF0191 H-field Probes. The CDC requires a combination of RF field meter and probes that can perform accurate and reliable measurements including FFT analysis of E and H field for proximity detection system performance testing and EMI analysis testing over the target frequency range of 5Hz to 3GHz. This system is the only one that meets all of these requirements. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to contract specialist Anthony Z. Lyas Jr.at alyas@cdc.gov by 5:00 pm on July 08, 2016.
