- The Naval Postgraduate School has a requirement, to be provided by one vendor, for a Brand Name or Equal components and kits in support of instructional laboratories. The award will be evaluated on a technically-acceptable-lowest-price basis. The NAICS associated with this purchase is 333611 with a standard size is 1500 employees. This is to be a total competitive small business set aside procurement. The Brand Name or Equal to the Rankine Cycler will be utilized in the academic research and education required to demonstrate and teach the thermodynamic principles of power generation with a heat engine that operates on the phase change principle. This unit will be used to study various options to maximize the potential gains made by operating a combined cycle on an existing gas turbine engine in the Marine Propulsion Laboratory.
