- Description
- The U.S. Army Contracting Command - APG, Natick Contracting Division, Orlando, FL, 32820, intends to issue a solicitation W911QY-16-R-0048, FAR Subpart 6.302-1, Only One or a Limited Number of Responsible Sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to issue up to two multiple award firm-fixed-price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts with a five year ordering period to Stark Aerospace and L-3 Wescam who have previously qualified Laser Designator Rangefinder (LDRF) payloads for the Shadow RQ-7B to support the Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System (TUAS). Maximum Contract value will be $82 million over the five (5) year life of the contract. The LDRF payload supports the Tactical Commander by providing full motion video using the electro-optical and infrared sensors. The LDRF payloads will allow the payload operator to use the lasers to perform target handover, measure range-to-target, and provide guidance for NATO-standard, laser-guided weapons. The payloads will facilitate freedom of troop maneuver by providing early detection of threats. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333316, Federal Supply Code (FSC) is 6760, Photographic and Photocopying Equipment Manufacturing. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP). The RFP will be posted to the Natick Contracting Division web site at https://www3.natick.army.mil, under Business Opportunities, Current Acquisitions. Proposals will be due 15 days after release of the RFP. Firms will not be reimbursed for any costs associated with proposal preparation.
