- This synopsis is posted in accordance with Federal acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.203(a). The U.S. Forest Service, via the Allegheny National Forest has a requirement for a road reconstruction project. Project Description: Forest Road 156 Reconstruction work includes the removal and installation of drainage culverts, reconstructing headwalls, rebuilding stone culvert, installing sediment traps, rock filters, and stone line broad based dips, reconditioning the road template, applying aggregate base course and limestone surfacing, cleaning and reconstructing drainage ditches, daylighting roadway, placing large native stones to block stream access, and seeding/mulching. Project Location: The project is located on the Allegheny National Forest in Warren County Pennsylvania. Forest Road 156 (Morrison Run road) is located approximately 2000' southeast of the intersection of US Route 6 and State Route 59. Estimated Price Range: $250,000 - $500,000 Pre-bid Site Visit: Date and time of an organized site visit will be included in the solicitation documents. Solicitation Documents: All solicitation materials will be uploaded to this site on or before July 18, 2016. This will include work specifications, drawings, maps, and all other information needed in order to submit an offer. An active registration in www.sam.gov is required in order to submit an offer. Obtaining a DUNS number and registering in SAM are free of charge. Set-Aside: This project is set-aside for small businesses. NAICS: 237310 Product Service Code: Z2LB Bid Due Date: August 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM ET. The Department's anticipated acquisition type will be sealed bid conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14.
