- This Special Notice is for informational purposes only and shall not be considered as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect cost or changes by the Government will arise as a result of contractor participation in the Meet and Greet. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) will conduct an informational Meet and Greet on Wednesday, 20 July 2016 in California, Maryland. The focus of the event is to inform our small business industry partners of the Commander's Intent and the role of Small Businesses in meeting our Science and Technology needs and how they might participate. A panel of NAVAIR leaders will present their small business perspectives, to include a question and answer period from 1500 to 1700. The Business Matchmaking appointments for small businesses will take place from 1700 to 1900. The Table Hosts will be POCs from NAVAIR/NAWCAD PMAs and several large businesses. Each matchmaking appointment will last 15 minutes and there will be a 5-minute break between each appointment. These appointments will include one NAVAIR POC or Mentor and one Small Business/potential Protégé in a one-on-one meeting. There is no access to Wi-Fi/Internet or electrical power in the rooms where Business Matchmaking will be held. Please limit your materials to handouts and/or brochures that you provide. The Meet and Greet will take place at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center located at: 44219 Airport Road Building 2, Center Hall California, MD 20619 (301) 737-2500 (Main) The event will be held from 1500-1900; check-in starting at 1415 EST. There will be time allotted in the afternoon where Small Businesses (SB) can engage with POCs from NAWCAD competencies and PEO/PMA representatives in the open networking session. HOW TO REGISTER: This event is open on a first-come, first-serve basis, to all industry representatives whose companies can provide products and services to NAVAIR/NAWCAD. Registration will end 15 July 2016. ID will be required at check-in. You must register in order to attend.
