This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement only. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposal or quote and does no obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses. Responses to this notice shall include: 1.Company Name 2.Address 3.Point of Contact 4.Phone, Fax, and Email 5.DUNS number 6.Cage Code 7.Type of business, e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a), HUB Zone, Women Owned Small Business, SDB 8.Must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform the work described below: This RFI uses a Brand Name or Equal Description of the product required. This permits prospective contractors to offer products other than those specifically referenced by brand name. All offers must work with existing equipment that has already been purchased and is currently in use at the station and also to meet standardization requirements throughout the hospital. The Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center Medical Center in Wichita, KS requires a new Ophthalmic Laser Systems to be used in treatment of patients with posterior capsular opacification after cataract surgery and to create a peripheral iridotomy in patients with narrow angles or angle-closure glaucoma. The system requirements are: Item needed: Yag Laser/ SLT Combo- (Item must be comparable to Nidek model # YC-1800 Ophthalmic YAG Laser System) Quantity: 1 Technical specifications: "Must have ability to combo a Quantel SLT for YC/SLT combo "Must have operational joystick, treatment spot size to 8 microns, firing cyclic rate from 1.5 Hz to 3 Hz, rotating aiming beams, thirty-three anterior/posterior offset options and illumination attenuation. "Must have ability to treat posterior capsular opacifications "Must have ability to create a peripheral iridotomy in patients with narrow angles or angle -closure glaucoma "Converted Q-switch from dye acetate to Solid State Q-switch "D-pulse auto-calibration to maintain energy stability over time "Must have ability to perform trabeculoplasty with the SLT component to treat glaucoma by providing a Q-switched, frequency doubled laser operating at 532nm green with an output of from 0.3 to 1.5 millijoules and a pulse width of 3 nanoseconds, ? Item needed: Multi-color Laser Photocoagulater (Item must be comparable to Nidek model # MC-500) Quantity: 1 Technical specifications: "MC-500 laser should be multicolor laser with the following wavelengths "532nm Green; 577nm Yellow and 647nm Red "Laser should connect to Nidek SL-1800 slit lamp and must have split prism optics (treatment beam and aiming beam are co-axial and include split-mirror assembly) to reduce laser lens reflections "Bio Heine Omega 500 for MC -500 "3D Mouse for MC-500 "Laser should have moving filter & self-centering micromanipulator "Pattern Scanner should have choice of 22 scan patterns; scan patterns should flicker and have Auto Forward feature "Laser should have continuously variable spot size from 50 to 500 microns "Laser should have Scan, Auto Manipulation & Single Shot modes "Laser indirect ophthalmoscope should be Heine 500 with long & short working distance adjustment "Laser should have SOLIC optics to ensure low energy density on cornea & lens Trade In: "Trade-in credit for YC-1400 : QTY 1 "Trade-in credit for GYC-2000 (-1000): QTY 1 Installation & Training: "On-site installation by vendor is required "On-site training by vendor must be provided to staff Response Needed by 7/6/2016 at 1200 EST.
