- ***NOTICE OF AMENDMENT*** The solicitation for this requirement has been delayed and is now expected on or after July 8, 2016. ***END OF NOTICE*** This is a pre-solicitation notice for commercial items. The Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) Program within U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has a requirement for Mobile Reflective Imaging Scanners and the associated services of warranty, maintenance, and training. Units and services may be delivered worldwide. CBP intends to issue a single award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from the upcoming solicitation. There is a single, five-year ordering period on this IDIQ. Orders issued on this IDIQ can extend up to include up to ten years of maintenance options. The total effective period of the IDIQ could be begin at award and continue until the completion of the final order. The upcoming solicitation will be issued as Request for Proposals (RFP) HSBP1016R0026. This RFP will be solicited using the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 15. The anticipated IDIQ is expected to use a firm-fixed price schedule. The expected ordering period will be (roughly) from September 2016 through August 2021. The relevant North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334517. The expected ceiling value for this IDIQ is roughly $76 million.
