- This is a pre-solicitation notice. Description The Forest Service Alaska Region 10 has a competitive requirement for construction and reconstruction of recreational facilities at Anan Bay Wildlife Observatory. Work includes demolition of existing steps, decks, railings and toilet building and the construction of new boardwalks, aggregate trails, decks and railings, a toilet building. A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation is expected to be issued on or about July 18th, 2016 on Fedbizopps. Quotes will be due 30 days after release of the solicitation unless otherwise stated when the solicitation is posted. This will be a total small business set-aside. This will be a small Business set-aside under NAICS 236220. Preference may be given to Veteran Owned - Service Disabled Veteran Owned companies. Location: The project site is at Anan Bay Wildlife Observatory. It is located in Anan Bay on the Cleveland Peninsula at 56 degrees 10'46.44" North, 131 degrees 53'06.66" West. It is located 27 air miles south-southeast of Wrangell, Alaska, and is accessible by small boats and floatplanes. There is no road access, potable water or electricity onsite. Potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (see Internet site: http://www.sam.gov/).
