- Description
- Updated RFI document with correct part number (EEP-067). AMENDMENT 1: The purpose of this amendment is as follows: 1) Provide clarification regarding the original part number. The original posting inadvertently listed the original part number as EER-067 on the RFI document. The correct part number is EEP-067 as listed on the SOW document. An updated version of the RFI document listing the correct part number (EEP-067) has been provided with this amendment. 2) Provide a response to the comments below that were submitted by an interested vendor. Interested Vendor Comments : "We do machine, modeling and composite work. We manufacture Radomes and sell directly to the Government and occasionally the OEM. After reviewing the RFI and Statement of work, it appears that the Government does not have specifications for this effort. We are a small business and will not likely be able to get anything form the OEM. Would the Government have any drawings that can be shared with a potential vendor or could a sample be provided for reverse engineeringYour response would be appreciated." Government's Response : "The Government does not have any drawings that are sufficient for the construction of a new radome. Therefore, no drawings will be provided by the Government for this requirement. The Government is looking to have compliance with the original part number (EEP-067) to ensure that the new radomes are air worthy. The Government cannot provide a sample radome for this requirement. The Government is looking for a part they can bolt on the aircraft, not one that has to go through OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) test procedures which the Government does not have. Interested vendors are free to make a deal with Lockheed for all the information required to satisfy this requirement."
