- The following questions was posted: QUESTION: Is the Protégé required to have previously held a SBIR and/or STTR project in order to obtain a mentor protégé agreement from this opportunity? Below is the answer: No, SBIR/STTR participation is not a prerequisite for submitting a Mentor Protégé application for mentors or protégés. In some cases there may have been a previous relationship between the Mentor and Protégé on a SIBR/STTR effort. In those cases paragraph "H" is where that information should be described. If it does not apply, then "Not Applicable" is an appropriate response for this section. Page 3, Paragraph 4 of the BAA is hereby corrected to read as follow: Request for Proposals: White Papers found to be consisted with the intent of the solicitation and program goals will be invited to submit a Technical and Cost Proposal. Proposals will be due 30 calendar days after notification by AFDW/PKSA Contracting Officer. A Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) report will be requested on each mentor's proposal. (This process can take up to 45 days). Request for Proposal will be requested by AFDW/PKSA.
