Description
The 99th Contracting Squadron will be soliciting a partial design-build contract for Creech Air Force Base, NV. This contract will be for the p artial design and construction of an additional 5 poles of aircraft parking apron lighting to the west of existing apron lighting and additional 2 poles of aircraft parking apron lighting for Taxiway D to the east of existing lighting. A 65% design will be provided to the awarded contractor. The contractor will be required to complete the design and receive government approval prior to starting construction of the additional lighting. Period of Performance and Magnitude: The Period of Performance (PoP) for the design portion of this project is 105 days. The PoP for the construction portion of this project is 150 days. The projected magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This will be a competitive procurement limited to qualified/eligible small business firms. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238210, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors, with a small business size standard of $15 Million. The government intends to award a single contract. Award will be made on the basis of Lowest-Priced, Technically-Acceptable (LPTA) source selection procedures. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 20 July 2016, on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web page. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. It is anticipated that the following viewers will be needed to view the solicitation: Microsoft Word (.doc), Adobe Acrobat Reader (.pdf), and WinZip (.zip or.exe.). The government intends to hold a site visit. The exact date of the site visit will be identified in the solicitation. Due to space limitations, each offeror is limited to no more than three (3) attendees. Attendance at the site visit is encouraged but not mandatory. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database in order to be eligible for award. All prospective offerors must go to http://www.sam.gov/ to add or update their representations and certifications record. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun and Bradstreet. Registration may take up to three weeks to process. It is recommended that any prospective contractor register immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
