- JOHN JARVIE STONE HOUSE RESTORATION The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) intends to award a single, firm-fixed price contract to include the necessary qualified personnel, materials, equipment, and facilities to conduct and complete the requested preservation and restoration of the historic masonry structure (stone house) component of the John Jarvie Historic Ranch District, located on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) administered lands within the Vernal Field Office (VFO). The Contractor shall prepare a work summary regarding each step of the preservation and restoration associated with this project. Two option items are also included and will be awarded based on availability of funds. All work shall be performed in accordance with the recommendations outlined in the report prepared by Bratslavsky Consulting Engineers, Inc. and in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior's "Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties" (36 CFR part 67 Section 7). Location: The Jarvie Stone house is located at the John Jarvie Historic Ranch District in the Browns Park region of northeastern Utah. The John Jarvie Historic Ranch District is located 74 miles north of Vernal in Daggett County, Utah. The nearest town, Dutch John, provides limited services in the means of a small combined restaurant, gas station, and store. A small grocery store is located in Manila. Complete services are located in Vernal, Utah and Rock Springs, Wyoming. Access to the site includes a combination of paved and hardened gravel roads. BLM provided camping, with access to potable water, is available at the Indian Crossing or Bridge Hollow campgrounds. No official site tour is planned. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the project location before preparing and submitting bids. This project is 100% set aside for small business vendors under the North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code 238140 with a size standard of $15.0 million. Project price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Performance time is 180 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Payment Protection is required for contracts greater than $30,000. Solicitation L16PS00464, along with statement of work and engineering report, will be posted electronically at www.fedconnect.net on or about July 5, 2016, with solicitation closing date roughly 30 calendar days after posting. These dates are subject to change. To obtain the solicitation and/or amendments/updates for this project, contractors shall monitor the solicitation at www.fedconnect.net.
