- The US Food and Drug Administration, Office of Acquisitions and Grant Services intends to award a sole source award to Vocus, Inc. (12051 Indian Creek Ct Beltsville, MD 20705) to provide a Cision Vocus Subscription. The FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDEDR), Office of Communications (OCOMM) is responsible for issuing public communications on a variety of drug-related topics using traditional and social media dissemination channels. CISION-Vocus is a media database and communications subscription service that will give the CDER Trade Press and OCOMM teams a continuously updated database of trade media contacts and the software to interact with and manage it. Depending on the news or communication to be delivered, the teams can draw upon numerous contact lists, or build new, more targeted lists as needed. CDER OCOMM and Trade Press team members need a streamlined approach for trade press contacts, news release management, social media monitoring and communications measurement to create more effective, efficient and timely communications distributions. A subscription to the Cision-Vocus media, social, analytics and insights service will give the teams a "big picture" view of their communications activities such as press releases, statements and announcements, as well as web and social media postings so that they can more accurately evaluate success and identify areas where more effort is needed. The service will also provide a valuable source of information to assist the CDER OCOMM teams with the development of communications plans and responses requested by CDER senior management. The subscription includes: A.Plan Services to include: one (1) Enterprise Media Database: North America; one (1) Email Campaigns; and Access for five (5) Concurrent Users. B.Monitoring Services to include: one (1) News OnDemand: Online & LexisMexis Print Monitoring North America; one (1) News On-Demand Royalty Fee; and one (1) Social Media Monitoring for up to 120,000 results per year. C.Global Analysis Services to include: one (1) Analytics Automatic Toning. The proposed simplified acquisition action is for supplies for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested parties may identify their interests and capabilities to respond to the requirement within seven (7) days after the date of publication of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed simplified acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. No further solicitation is available. FDA will consider all responses received prior to the closing date of this notice and will use responses in determining whether it is necessary to use full and open competition for this requirement.
